Welcome Dr. McCabe!
We're excited to welcome Dr. Liana McCabe to the Framingham Pediatrics team! Dr. McCabe joins us this week after an almost 20 year career as a primary care pediatrician in the Seattle area. She is looking forward to meeting all of our wonderful families, and to welcoming patients of all ages to her practice. If you see Dr. McCabe in the office, please say hello!

COVID-19 Vaccine Update
Our other exciting news is that COVID vaccine will arrive in our office by early next week! We will have Moderna vaccine for patients ages 6 months old through 18 years of age. Vaccine continues to be available for patients 5 years and older, including those past their 19th birthday, at pharmacies around the area.
COVID vaccine will be available for patients and siblings of patients with scheduled visits in our office starting early next week. We will also be providing COVID vaccine at our "flu clinics" over the coming weeks and months, starting on Wednesday, October 22.
If you would like to schedule a flu and/or COVID vaccine for your child, please go to "Schedule an Appointment" in MyChart and choose the appropriate tile. After answering informational questions, you can choose an available time.

Our recommendations for the 2025-2026 COVID-19 vaccine follow those of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
- We recommend vaccine for all children 6-23 months of age
- Children in this age range who have not received any COVID vaccine in the past should receive 2 doses, 4-8 weeks apart
- Children who have received 1 or 2 doses in the past should receive 1 dose of the 2025-2026 vaccine
- We recommend one dose of vaccine for children and adolescents 2-18 years of age with medical conditions associated with a higher risk of severe COVID-19 disease or with household contacts at higher risk
- This includes asthma, diabetes, overweight, cancer, heart, lung, liver or kidney disease, epilepsy and others
- We recommend one dose of vaccine for healthy children and adolescents 2-18 years of age who have never been vaccinated against COVID
- We recommend COVID vaccine for all women who are pregnant, contemplating pregnancy, have recently been pregnant, or who are nursing
- COVID vaccine is available for all other children and adolescents if desired
